Though indeed for a fuller understanding of these points of faith, these thirty-nine articles, one would need at least a cursory familiarity with the waverings and vicissitudes and pendulum swings over a brief but intense period of decades in the 16th century and touching as they did on religion and ecclesiology, yes certainly, but equally on political and dynastic matters. |
